In this 75-minute restorative yoga and sound bath session, Tida of Tida Happy Yogi, will guide you through body awareness and breathing practices, some gentle movement followed by a couple of longer-held restorative yoga poses. The practice allows the body and mind to pause, relax, reset and rejuvenate. The healing process within the body arises through this relaxation. It balances the nervous system and returns the body to homeostasis.
Restorative Yoga is a style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing.
The practice is gentle, supportive and therapeutic using bolsters, blankets, and yoga blocks which assist you to hold the poses for longer. It allows the muscles to release and tap into the deeper place of relaxation in a supported way.
Meanwhile, the pure, magical sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, handpan, chimes, ocean drums, and other instruments will support your immersion into a blissful state of deep awareness and restoration in Tida's skilled hands. At the end of the session, Tida creates a flow of sound and vibration called the "Integral Sound Healing" method, which is highly effective at triggering our relaxation response for a long savasana.
Integral Sound Healing offers a gentle pathway to deeply restorative relaxation by lowering brainwave frequencies and the vibrations allow for the release and expansion of the body and mind. The sound and the vibrations of the sound healing instruments penetrate deep into the tissues.
This improves blood circulation and metabolism, regulates muscle tension, and deeply stimulates the tissue. Also, regeneration and repair mechanisms are stimulated. Some people find sound healing is both activating and relaxing – so it also has a refreshing effect.
This workshop is open to everybody who is looking for stress relief or space to unwind.
No previous yoga experience is necessary.
