2023 Buddha’s Birthday & Multicultural Festival is back in Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour.
The theme of the event is " Environmental and Spiritual Preservation". A wide range of special features offered by the organisers include:
"Tribute to Venerable Master Hsing Yun, ‘Love & Peace’ Multicultural Prayer Concert” - praying for world peace.
" Vegetarian food to support the Environment - Protection & Love for the Planet" – You can also participate in the Vege Plan A to save the planet by pledging to consume vegetarian food.
"VEGRUN " - a charity run to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal SDG17 of zero carbon emissions goal.
"Earth Sustainability" - "My Ocean, My Care" - a miniature artwork exhibition, together with an essay writing activity for Buddha Light's Three Acts of Goodness for children, are a joint effort to reduce plastic, use green energy and reduce pollution.
"Buddha's Light Scouts - Children's Zone" - with green living, parent-child learning, handicraft courses and other new ideas for children to reduce carbon emissions in daily life.
"Baby Blessing and Baby Shower Ceremony" - A blessing ceremony for babies and mums-to-be for good health and fortune.
" Bathing of the Buddha and Prayer Area" – visit the Lumbini Garden and learn about the birth story of the Buddha, bathing of the Buddha to purify body and mind, and blessing for your family.
"Dining with Venerable Master Hsing Yun" - You are invited to come and enjoy Venerable Master 's culinary delights.
You can also enjoy a variety of multi-cultural art performances and Buddhism books. Nan Tien Temple invites you to join us for this meaningful celebration of the Buddha's Birthday.
