Do you want to come and learn in our makerspace at Darling Square Library with your children?
Join this 2-hour session to get hands-on experience with our maker kits, microscopes, marble-run, wind-tube, electronics and robotics kits.
We’ll introduce you to a series of fun projects designed to develop your creative thinking skills. You could learn some basic coding to use a Sphero robot, or build simple circuits. Explore our Little Bits wall or complete a basic laser cutting project by etching a creative design onto perspex.
Each monthly Makertime for families workshop offers 3-4 different activities over the 2-hour session. Please note: while these activities vary each month, we do repeat some activities.

Computing devices: high powered laptops and iPads
STEM kits: Makey Makey, M-Bot, Edisons, Ozobots, Spheros and Little Bits
Digital microscopes
Maker activities: Make-Do, wind tube and marble run
Creative activities: Badge making, printmaking and jewellery crafts
