Walking is one of the easiest (and most enjoyable!) ways to boost your physical health, lift your mood, and connect with others. Fresh air, gentle movement, and good company can work wonders for reducing stress and improving overall wellbeing.
Our September walk will take place on Friday 11th September, and we will be visiting The Mint Museum. There are two ways to join us:
*Option 1: Meet us at Perry Park Recreation Centre for morning tea at 9:00 am, with a 9:30 am departure. We will walk to Green Square Station, catch the train to Museum Station, and then walk to The Mint Museum.
*Option 2: Meet us at Museum Station at 10:00 am and walk to The Mint Museum. (Please note that Museum Station is not the closest option. However, we have chosen this station so that we can enjoy our walk through the Hyde Park, which will take approximately 15-20 minutes to the museum).
Our group walks are all about moving at a comfortable pace, having a chat, and enjoying time together. They are a great way to meet new people, build community connections, and share a relaxed, friendly experience.
Everyone is welcome! These walks are designed to be inclusive and accessible, and we encourage people of all abilities to join in. If you have any access or communication needs, just let us know – we are happy to help make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported.
Please bring your Opal card, as well as some money for coffee, as we usually enjoy spending time together and socialising after the walk at a nearby café.
We are committed to creating inclusive and welcoming events. If you have any specific access or communication needs, please contact us on 02 9265 9182 or email recreation@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.
