Walking for Health, Wellbeing, and Social Connection
Walking is one of the easiest (and most enjoyable!) ways to boost your physical health, lift your mood, and connect with others. Fresh air, gentle movement, and good company can work wonders for reducing stress and improving overall wellbeing.
Our group walks are all about moving at a comfortable pace, having a chat, and enjoying time together. They are a great way to meet new people, build community connections, and share a relaxed, friendly experience.
Everyone is welcome! These walks are designed to be inclusive and accessible, and we encourage people of all abilities to join in. If you have any access or communication needs, just let us know — we are happy to help make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported.
Please bring your Opal card (in case we travel by public transport), as well as some money for coffee, as we usually enjoy spending time together and socialising after the walk at a nearby café.
We are committed to creating inclusive and welcoming events. If you have any specific access or communication needs, please contact us on 02 9265 9182 or email recreation@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.
