The Balmoral Swim is a favourite on everyone’s annual swim calendar. A unique open water swim event offering different distances all held within the beauty and safety of Sydney Harbour. Whether you are new to ocean swimming or a seasoned veteran, there is a swim for you, making it fun day for all.

This year the Balmoral Swim will return to its original format with all swimming events being run on one day.

The event is in its 31st year and is organised by volunteers, most of whom are members of the Balmoral Beach Club. However, the entire local community gets behind the event to make it happen. From Mosman Council to HMAS Penguin, all supported by our generous sponsors;

Platinum - Atlas

Gold – Dexus

Bronze - Bingo, Edney Ryan, Expedite IT,  MTA Energy and Kieser

The Balmoral Swim has raised more than $1,800,000 since 2006 and this year hopes to raise $200,000.

The Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to childhood cancer and every dollar received from the government and granting bodies to support direct research costs must be matched with a dollar raised by the community.

Make a difference

The Balmoral Swim aims to help raise over $200,000 for Children’s Cancer Institute. Take your swim to the next level by supporting research to eliminate children's cancer. Setting yourself a personal challenge is a great way to help those who need it.
