Voyage is Kathryn Taunton’s first solo exhibition. Kathryn Lives on the Central Coast and has a studio at The Newcastle Art Space in Newcastle.

She recently graduated from the National Art School in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and previously achieved an Advanced Diploma in Visual Art at Newcastle Art School in 2013.

Voyage is an exhibition that explores Kathryn’s deep desire to express emotive experiences through a love and connection with her natural and immediate environment and awareness of the female form.

As result of an incredibly challenging year with her health, Kathryn’s work has taken on a different perspective and change. Kathryn welcomed this change as she moved through the creating process. Her   work is experimental and spontaneous with a constant desire to convey emotion through the exploration of colour, layering and mark making.

Covid-safety

Covid-19 safe procedures operate at the gallery. We record names for contact tracing, supply hand sanitiser, disinfect our surfaces and have only 25 people in the gallery at a time, applying social distancing.
