Pride Ride, Newtown to Taylor Square

Friday 1 March from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Free guided ride.

Celebrate Mardi Gras Festival on the eve of the parade while discovering Sydney's bicycle-friendly streets connecting two iconic LGBTQIA + neighbourhoods. This easy 13km ride includes green spaces, quiet streets and cycleways connecting the bicycle network. Expect colourful rainbow paths, historic landmarks and LQBTQIA+ attractions as the city heats up for Saturdays celebrations.

Guided rides on behalf of City of Sydney are led by friendly professional guides from queer-owned and run, Pedal Set Go.

You'll need: 

  • Your own roadworthy bike and helmet 

  • Water bottle and snacks

Please arrive at 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bookings required.

We encourage participants to complete the Cycling in the City course before joining a guided ride. The Cycling in the City course will equip you with the skills you need to ride in Sydney.
