Saturday 7 February from 12pm to 2pm Saturday 14 February from 12pm to 2pm
There are many situations that women can find themselves in where they may be at physical risk.
And there are many courses that teach a variety of techniques to deal with these scenarios. Like most things, the longer you do it, the greater your skills set, and your confidence.
However, many people don’t have the time or the funds to join these classes. That’s why we have developed this workshop.
The aim of the 1.5 hour workshop is to give you some basic skills to defend yourself if you find yourself in a potentially dangerous situation.
They are simple techniques that you can use without the need for intensive training. The more you practice them, the more confident you’ll become in using them.
What you will learn:
Pre-empt: Recognising potentially dangerous situations and how to avoid them.
Mind set: How to use your breathing to help you remain calm to de-escalate the situation, and to have the confidence in using the techniques if necessary.
The techniques: Effective techniques to defend against the most common forms of attack.
