Creating responsible AI solutions: A discovery workshop

Join us for an interactive workshop to explore responsible AI solutions and discover how to create ethical and sustainable AI

In the March 2023 National Artificial Intelligence Centre (NAIC) commissioned report, Australia’s AI ecosystem momentum, it describes a rapidly transforming artificial intelligence ecosystem in Australia, where businesses are generating significant new revenue streams and efficiencies using AI technology.

In this workshop lead by TechnoFuturist and innovation facilitator Galit Ariel, we invite participants to consider emerging services, behaviours and strategies related to AI. You will be engaged in co-creation activities and discussions exploring AI tools development and implementation for communities and ecosystems to match intention with execution and delivery effectively.

This workshop is of interest if you are trying to navigate AI adoption, unlock AI value, and deploy responsible AI solutions for equitable impact.

Note: This workshop is applicable for those working in AI startups and companies as prior knowledge is required.

Program*

  • 12.00pm: Arrive onsite to be escorted to the workshop space

  • 12.30pm: Theme presentation

  • 1:00pm: Group work (45mn) followed by group presentations and feedback

  • 2.30pm: Group resolution revision

  • 3.00pm: Discussion

  • 3.30pm: Event concludes

About Galit Ariel - City of Sydney Visiting Entrepreneur (Canada)

Galit Ariel is a TechnoFuturist, author and an award-winning creative, exploring the wild and imaginative side of bleeding-edge technologies through her practice. She is a sought-after speaker, curator and innovation facilitator for global conferences, organizations and think tanks (such as TED, SXSW, Slush, The European Union, Bell Labs, Microsoft and many more). Galit had been featured as one of ‘Nine Women that are building the Metaverse’ by Unity (2022), and as one of 40 influential futurists by Forbes (2022). Galit authored numerous articles and white papers, as well as the book Augmenting Alice - The Future of Identity, Experience and Reality, which depicts the way Augmented Reality will shift core paradigms and interactions related to culture, body, space and agency. She is currently conducting her research-creation PhD at York University, exploring emerging paradigms of presence and embodiment within immersive spaces.
