About your teacher
Deborah Marks is a versatile artist working in painting, drawing, photography, and collage. Her figurative artworks explore the boundary between representation and abstraction, inspired by psychological aspects of human existence.
She has exhibited internationally, including at galleries such as Defiance Gallery and Kunstverein Murnau, and her work is held in public and private collections.
Deborah has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 2014 Kedumba Art Award and multiple Hunters Hill Art Prizes. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree and has been a lecturer at the National Art School since 1999.
