An intimate and poetic look at one of the last nomad families in Spain. In Europe, the phenomenon of transhumance has survived for centuries: families of shepherds that migrate by foot with their animals in search of better pastures, climate and living conditions.

The images flow between documentary and evocative language because it is not only a description of how they live but also a view into a rural and travelling atmosphere.

The work of Spanish documentary photographer, Susana Girón, who holds a degree in Photography and Visual Arts has been widely published around the world and won several awards.

After delivering the first online festival in the world in May, attracting 80,000 visits, Head On Photo Festival returns with a printed festival of quality photography this November.
