Social sewing sessions

When

Tuesdays, 1pm to 3pm Tuesday 15 April to Tuesday 16 December

An experience sewer and volunteer can teach you the basics of how to sew using a sewing machine. Watch others and learn together. Learn how to hem trousers, mend your favourite outfit and make friends with crafty like-minded people.

Bring in new sewing projects and improve your skills. Get involved in the recycle and upcycle revolution.

Also, you are welcome to come in and use the sewing machines at any time.

We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs, please contact The Reginald Murphy Community Centre on 02 9265 9133 or jmayr@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

Reginald Murphy Community Centre is open Monday to Friday 9:30am until 3:30pm. There is a table tennis & snooker table, computers, wifi, books to borrow, a piano to play and sewing machines to use and tea and coffee all for free. A weekly community lunch is held on Wednesdays at midday for $10. Everyone is welcome!
