Seniors fashion and styling showcase

When

Friday 15 March 2024 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm

We invite all seniors to come along dressed in their most stylish outfits.

The funkier and more different your style, the better!

A fashion consultant will work with some older people including retired supermodels to help them create their own unique look. Our very special models will wear clothing and accessories from fashion retailers across the city.

Leading up to the event, we have an open expression of interest for older people to apply to be one of our models and meet with the fashion consultant weekly to prepare for the showcase.

Sewing teachers and students from the City of Sydney local area have also been invited to bring their own fashion pieces.

Make-up artists and hair stylists will be onsite to give tips and touch-ups to our runway models and everyone else.

We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs, please contact Bishop Laryea on 02 9265 9133 or email blaryea@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

The City of Sydney's Reginald Murphy Community Centre is open Monday to Friday 9.30am until 3.30pm. There is a table tennis & snooker table, computers, WIFI, books to borrow, a piano to play and sewing machines to use and tea and coffee all for free.
