Pattern-making For Beginners

Where
126 Regent St
Redfern NSW 2016
Australia
When

Tuesday 30 May 2023 from 10am to 1pm

Join our Pattern Making Class and learn how to replicate your favourite garments without the need for unpicking or altering them. In this class, you'll bring in a garment you love, and our experienced instructor will teach you how to create a pattern by folding and manipulating the fabric to obtain the panels and shapes of the garment.

The first session, lasting 3 hours, will be dedicated entirely to pattern making, so no fabric is required. If you would like to continue to sew your garment from the pattern you've created, you may want to consider booking a package of 4, 7, or 12 sessions in the booking calendar.

Our knowledgeable teachers will guide you on fabric selection and provide advice on any additional materials you may need to sew your garment. Please note that for beginners, we recommend choosing a garment without sleeves and collars, as these elements are considered more advanced. Discover the joy of pattern making and bring your favourite garments to life in a new and exciting way.

This class is suitable for beginners who have no previous pattern drafting experience. Previous sewing experience is a must, we recommend completing the Sewing For Beginners class and Introduction To Garment Making - Shorts/Pants class with us first before moving on to pattern making. Alternatively, you should have sewn at least one garment from a commercial pattern before attending this class.
