Monday 30 June from 9:30am to 4:15pm
Join us for a full day of creative fun in our Winter School Holiday Art Program, designed especially for kids aged 6–11 who love to draw and paint!
With the wonderful Philippa Hagon, in the morning session, Still Life Drawing & Painting (9:30am–12:30pm), young artists will explore the fundamentals of shape, colour, and composition. Using a variety of materials, they’ll create their own beautiful still life artworks while building confidence in their observation and painting skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.
In the afternoon, Expressive Animal Charcoal Drawing (1:15pm–4:15pm) invites kids to let their imaginations run wild. They’ll learn how to use charcoal to capture movement, texture, and personality, bringing their favourite animals to life on the page with bold lines, shading, and expressive mark-making.
Whether you book just one session or make it a full creative day, these workshops are the perfect opportunity for young artists to experiment, learn new techniques, and have a whole lot of fun along the way!
Students will enjoy supervised morning or afternoon tea breaks, and if booked for the full day, a lunch break as well. Breaks are usually held outside in our beautiful garden, weather permitting.
And don’t forget to check out the rest of our Winter School Holiday Art Program! We’re running for three weeks—from 30th June to 18th July—with a huge range of classes for kids and teens, including painting, drawing, and so much more.
