Have you ever wanted to learn how to make traditional lotus paste, salted duck egg yolk or red bean mooncakes. An experienced baker who will teach you how to make your own mooncakes to celebrate the Moon Festival.
There will be a demonstration and video and then get hands on to knead the pastry and lotus and red bean pastes. If time allows, there will also be a demonstration on making the assorted nuts mooncake.
You'll take home 2 mooncakes of your choice at the end of the workshop.
The workshops run over 2 days with 2 sessions per day. Bookings are essential and are limited to one session per person.
You'll be required to follow the food hygiene and safety rules as set by the facilitator. Wear closed shoes and tie up long hair. If you have an apron, please bring this along to the class. We strongly recommend you do not to participate if you suffer from anaphylaxis or any allergies to food. We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events.
