KGV Recreation Centre open day

Everyone is invited to come and explore the King George V (KGV) Recreation Centre and meet the team at our free open day. We’ve got a packed program of classes, sports and gym activities and a light lunch.

Try out our gym with free entry to do your own workout or join a boxing class.

We’re also hosting a friendly competition with gym and sports activities, including basketball shooting, soccer penalty shootouts, football passing, rowing and indoor cycling. You can register your own team of 5 or join individually and we’ll add you to a team. The winning and runner up teams will receive trophies.

Our KGV team will be on hand throughout the day to show you around the centre and provide information about our classes, sports competitions and gym memberships.

Bookings are essential to join the classes and competition as places are limited.

No bookings are required to use the gym. You’ll need to complete a pre-exercise form which you can do online before you come or at the centre.

You’re also welcome to drop in anytime on the day to tour the centre.

Program

6am to 7pm: Free entry to the gym – complete a pre-exercise form

9am to 11am: Try out pickleball - bookings essential

11:30am to 12:30pm: Gym and sports competition – bookings essential

12pm to 12:45pm: Boxing class - bookings essential
