Experience the Power of Taiko. Ready to discover a unique new passion? Join the Australian Taiko Academy for our 9-week Taiko Beginners Course – your gateway into the exciting, energetic world of Japanese drumming.

What is Taiko? More than just drumming, Taiko is a dynamic, full-body art form that combines rhythm, movement, and culture. It’s an incredibly expressive activity that leaves you feeling energized, focused, and stress-free.

What You Will Learn: Over nine weeks, our expert instructors will guide you through all the fundamentals of Taiko. You will master basic drumming techniques, body movement, powerful vocalizations, and learn a short ensemble piece to perform with your classmates. Absolutely no prior musical or drumming experience is required.

There are 2 schedule options:

  • Tuesdays: 5:45pm – 7:15pm

  • Saturdays: 9:30am – 11am
