Chapel Row Jazz

Chapel Row Jazz is a weekly live jazz night held every Friday at the Reagh Bar, located on the ground floor of the historic Castlereagh Boutique Hotel in the heart of Sydney CBD.

Hosted by Sydney musician Alex Putra, the evening features a rotating lineup of emerging jazz musicians from across the city. Each week brings together talented performers from Sydney’s vibrant live music scene, including players studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Set within one of Sydney’s heritage venues, Chapel Row Jazz offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for both visitors and locals. It’s the perfect place to unwind after work or enjoy a Friday night in the city with live music.

Guests can enjoy cocktails, beer on tap, wine by the glass and light meals while listening to live jazz in an intimate bar setting.

The name Chapel Row is a nod to Sydney’s early history. Castlereagh Street was originally known as Chapel Row, and the name has been revived for this weekly jazz session — connecting the city’s past with a new home for live music in Sydney CBD.
