Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people interested in starting a business are invited to join this free workshop to help gain skills and confidence. The sessions are facilitated by an experienced Indigenous business consultant and Supply Nation advisor for Indigenous Business Australia.
Over 2 sessions you'll learn the fundamentals of setting up and managing your own successful small business.
Week 1: Business start up essentials including setting up a business name, ABN, accounts and book keeping basics.
Week 2: How to write basic quotes and proposals for contracts, stakeholder communications, forecasting and an introduction to marketing.
Participants will receive a workbook with tasks to complete over the 2 sessions.
Bookings and a commitment to attend both sessions are essential. You must be 18 years or over to attend.
