Head On Spotlight is a series of online, monthly, live discussions featuring acclaimed members of the photography world including photographers, photo editors, curators, publishers and more

This month hear from internationally-recognised and multi-award winning artist and filmmaker Murray Fredericks. Well known for his large-scale photographs of pure landscape at the intersection of place and space, Murray will share fascinating insights into his art and career.

About Murray Fredericks

Murray Fredericks (NSW) studied politics and economics at Sydney University before traveling in the Middle East and in the Himalayas. Spending large amounts of time in these powerful locations provided the basis for his essentially self-taught photography. Some years into his exhibiting career he completed a Masters of Art and then his MFA. His work is derived from a perspective that views culture as something that cannot be wholly accounted for through social construct.
