Guided Ride: Water Stories

When

Saturday 9 September 2023 from 9am to 11am

Free guided bike ride

“Did you know there is habitat for endangered frogs in Rosebery? Did you know there was once a violent cauliflower gang roaming the streets of Waterloo? Did you know dugong bones were found during excavation for the Alexandra Canal?” – UTS, Water Stories

Your guides will show you the bicycle friendly ways to explore a UTS project that maps the history and practices of water around Green Square. Not only will you never look at a storm drain the same way, but you will learn some easy ways to navigate your city by bike. An easy 10km bike ride spanning Beaconsfield, Rosebery, Zetland, Alexandria and Waterloo on cycleways and quiet streets.

Guided rides are led by friendly ride leaders from Pedal Set Go for City of Sydney

Arrive at 8:45am for a 9am start.

You'll need:

  • Your own roadworthy bike and helmet

  • Water bottle and snacks

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

We encourage participants to complete the Cycling in the City course before joining a guided ride. The Cycling in the City course will equip you with the skills you need to ride in Sydney.
