The Bench is located in the Joynton Avenue Creative Centre. A host will meet you at the entrance located on Hansard Street, and guide you to level 1.
You are invited to check out Sydney’s newest jewellery school and workshop. Designed by award-winning architect, Peter Stutchbury and proudly supported by the City of Sydney and 107 Projects, The Bench Sydney is the brightest new studio for jewellery making.
Whether you are considering becoming a jeweller, are a jeweller, interested in architecture or craft - there’s something for everyone. Meet The Bench tutors and residents, discover a course just for you and explore this up-and-coming area - Green Square.

We adhere to rules and regulations from the NSW Government and Department of Health and have put in place the recommended Covid protocols to keep our community safe at The Bench.
Disposable masks are available and we continue to encourage their use when students are not able to socially distance.
The Bench is a registered Covid safe business and we are committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure our community can work safely and with confidence at our facility.
All visitors to Joynton Avenue Creative Centre must check-in on arrival and digital records are kept on file as required.
We will have no more than 9 students plus the tutor in any class or workshop, some workshops are capped lower. Our classroom can safely host 13 people.
The 4 square metre per person rule applies.
Protocols are in place for frequent hand washing and sanitising of surfaces and high touchpoints.
Sanitiser is available in the classroom and throughout the Joynton Avenue Creative Centre.
The protocols we have in place for attendance of The Bench courses are sent to all students on enrolment.
No-one is to attend The Bench classes if they are unwell.
