Ceramics: studio access program (Saturdays)
Saturday 22 July 2023 from 1pm to 4pm
This 6-week studio access course is a fantastic opportunity for ceramic students with some experience to develop their own self-directed projects with support from an expert ceramicist.
In our well-equipped ceramic studio, you’ll have access to all the equipment needed for working with clay. You can work on personal projects at your own pace, under the guidance of an experienced tutor to hone your skills.
Tools and a selection of glazes will be provided. Students will be provided with one bag of clay at the beginning of the course. Additional clay if required by students will need to be purchased from Pine Street. To avoid any potential issues at the firing stage, we only use materials proven to suit our kilns and processes. Please get in touch with Pine Street for more information on clays term three.
Student work will be bisque fired in week 4 of the course, and glaze fired in week 6.
A curated selection of your works will be fired and ready to collect after the course. We’re unable to fire pieces made outside of the Pine Street Ceramic Studio.
This course takes place on Saturday over 6 weeks:
Week 1: 22 July, 1pm to 4pm
Week 2: 29 July, 1pm to 4pm
Week 3: 5 August, 1pm to 4pm
Week 4: 12 August, 1pm to 4pm
Week 5: 19 August, 1pm to 4pm
Week 6: 26 August, 1pm to 4pm
Intimate class size: maximum 10 students
Level: designed for beginner level students 18+yrs
Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes
Bring: yourself – all materials provided
All pieces created in the course must be no more than 25 cubic centimetres. Your works will be fired and ready to collect around 3 weeks after the course. We’re unable to fire pieces made outside of the course.
