Ceramics: studio access program (Thursdays)

In our well-equipped ceramic studio, experienced students will have access to all the equipment needed for working with clay. You can work on personal projects at your own pace, under the guidance of an experienced tutor to hone your skills.

Tools and a selection of glazes will be provided. You’ll receive one bag of clay at the beginning of the course. Additional clay, if required, will need to be purchased from Pine Street Creative Arts Centre. To avoid any potential issues at the firing stage, we only use materials proven to suit our kilns and processes.

Your work will be bisque fired in week 4 of the course, and glaze fired in week 6.

This course is not for beginner students.

A curated selection of your works will be fired and ready to collect after the course. We’re unable to fire pieces made outside of the Pine Street Ceramic Studio.

This course takes place on Thursdays over 6 weeks: 

• Week 1: 9 May, 10am to 1pm 

• Week 2: 16 May, 10am to 1pm  

• Week 3: 23 May, 10am to 1pm  

• Week 4: 30 May, 10am to 1pm  

• Week 5: 6 June, 10am to 1pm  

• Week 6: 13 June, 10am to 1pm  

Small class size: maximum 10 students

Level: designed for intermediate and advanced level students

Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes (trousers recommended)  

Bring: please bring your own apron and towel 

Your works will be fired and ready to collect around 4 weeks after the course. We are unable to fire pieces made outside of the course.
