Fridays, 10am to 12:30pm Friday 10 February to Friday 3 March
Learn hand-building techniques to make vessels and sculptural forms in this fun 4-week course for complete beginners or students with limited experience.
During the course an expert tutor will guide students through various clay production techniques with a focus on process and experimentation. You’ll be introduced to formative artists that work in ceramics and will gain an understanding of basic principles of working with clay. By the end of the course you’ll have finished either a large work or a collection of smaller pieces ready for firing.
If you’re a continuing student or have some ceramics experience, you’ll be supported to develop your skills by taking more complex approaches to your work.
Small class size: up to 10 students
Level: designed for beginner level students
Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes (trousers recommended)
Bring: please bring your own apron and towel
Your works will be fired and ready to collect around 4 weeks after the course. We are unable to fire pieces made outside of the course.
Bookings can be cancelled up to 7 days before the start of your course. Cancellations made after this will not be refunded. For more information see our terms and conditions.
