To celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2025 we present an all ages weaving workshop. Facilitator Wanita Lowe will teach you how to weave a small basket or armband.
A message from Wanita:
Yawayi Dunghu newayi (hello my name is) Wanita, I’m a proud Dunghutti Biripi women and practicing Artist Who loves to share my Culture to help educate and create a beautiful space for connecting.
Weaving holds the stories of life’s journey and learning about each other through yarning, creating and sharing a few laughs.
No skills or experience required and all materials are supplied. Everyone is welcome to participate in this special weaving experience.

Access
There is a ramp at the side entrance of ADC (Palmer St) and wheelchair-accessible toilet on the lower gallery level. Access to the lower level is through the main entrance off William St. Please ask our friendly staff for assistance. A full gallery Access statement is available to download from the ADC website.
