Presented as part of the Touring K-Arts project, Aqua Paradiso brings together works by three Korean artists — Jihyun Boo, Hyewon Kwon, and eco orot — who explore water through aesthetic, philosophical, and ecological perspectives.
Rather than viewing water simply as a natural resource, Aqua Paradiso considers it as a living presence and ecological actor, deeply intertwined with human life and the natural environment. Through installation, moving image and ecological practices, the artists explore the sensory and emotional dimensions of our relationship with water, inviting us to reconsider our connection with the natural world.
In Australia — a country deeply connected to its oceans and aquatic ecosystems — the exhibition offers an opportunity to reflect on a shared environmental concern while creating a space for dialogue and cultural exchange between Korea and Australia.
