Old-school gaming and new-school multiplayer collide in this set of gaming workshops for young people in high school.
We will also be playing Dungeons & Dragons and social board games.
Create your own hero's story and put your ideas together with others to help solve riddles, make new allies, find clues and defeat evil.
We'll also have old-school consoles such as the Super Nintendo, Sega Megadrive and more or you can bring your laptop to play with your friends.
There will be some facilitated 10-minute discussions around healthier gaming habits including:
Assertiveness skills, avoiding bullying and healthier online communications, especially in competitive environments
How to avoid problematic fundraising attempts by games and gambling-like gaming attempts such as loot boxes
Time management and screen addiction management techniques.
This is a free safe and supervised program for high school students. No experience is necessary.
Snacks provided.
