Life Drawing Experience at The Figure Room

Experience life drawing in a calm and immersive setting in the heart of Sydney

The Figure Room is a contemporary figure studio celebrating the human figure, life, authenticity and individuality through drawing.

During this untutored two-hour session, you'll draw from a live model through a mix of short and longer poses, giving you time to observe, experiment and draw in your own way. Light, sound, atmosphere and visual elements come together to create an experience that encourages you to slow down and be present.

There’s no pressure to get it right or create something perfect. Whether it’s your first time drawing or part of your regular practice, you’re invited to simply observe, draw, connect with others and enjoy being in the moment.

The Figure Room is an inclusive and judgement-free space where you can be yourself, express yourself freely and celebrate what it means to be human.

What to bring:

Just bring yourself, good vibes and a positive energy :)

All essential drawing materials are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own sketchbook and favourite drawing materials if you prefer.

Knowledge/skills required:

No previous drawing experience is required.

The session is open to all levels, from complete beginners to experienced artists. It’s untutored, so you’re free to draw in your own style and at your own pace.

The purpose is simply to pause, slow down and be present through observation and drawing, leaving you feeling lighter, calm and inspired.
