Explore the history of The Rocks district with our expertly crafted audio+puzzle tour. Uncover the secrets of this historic area through the lens of British convicts, as you hear stories of colonists, convicts, soldiers, sailors, and the local larrikin gangs.

Our mobile app and printed tour booklets will lead you through the cobblestone streets, hidden lanes, and charming courtyards that have witnessed some of Sydney's most fascinating heritage.

This self-guided audio tour of The Rocks is an entertaining and informative way to explore at your own pace. You'll receive printed tour booklets and access to our native mobile app, and together they will guide you to discover the hidden sights and rich history of The Rocks district.

  • Self-guided with audiobook quality commentary

Our famous audiobook-quality commentary will reveal the fascinating stories of the convicts who lived and worked here, how convicts and free citizens lived side-by-side in this historic neighbourhood, and the iconic narrow laneways the local residents lived and played in. Learn about the district's transformation from a convict settlement to a bustling part of Sydney Cove, now called Circular Quay.

  • 10 escape-room style puzzles to solve

As you explore, you will also solve puzzles with Kenny the Koala, which will encourage you to interact with your surroundings as well as reveal fantastic hidden spots throughout The Rocks area. It might be deciphering the secret codes hidden on the building of Australia's first hospital, uncovering patterns concealed to the average onlooker, or figuring out the secret messages obscured by terrace street numbers - only you can solve them.

Note that puzzles range in difficulty just like an indoor escape room, so they are suitable for both teenagers (8 and up) and adults.
