Duck with pinot noir is almost a cliché – but few clichés are as delectable! We will explore the symbiosis of this most delicious meat as paired with the most refined and complex of red wines, pinot noir, in this keenly awaited dinner tasting.
Your host Huon Hooke will lead you through 12 examples of this exquisite grape variety, sourced from some of Australia’s and New Zealand’s finest vineyards, and partnered with appropriate food from Sydney’s Chin Chin restaurant.
Pinot is notoriously choosy about where it parks its roots, but we will cover regions as diverse as Geelong, Orange, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Gippsland and Tasmania – and, across The Ditch, Martinborough, Marlborough and Waitaki Valley. It will be a sensationally good night.
