The Mike Nock Five

After a sensational show at Foundry616 earlier this year in April, it’s only fitting that the evergreen Mike Nock has announced a special encore date on Friday 2 June. Since Foundry opened around a decade ago, Mike has played numerous shows at the Ultimo jazz club, in a number of different formats. It’s fair to say he has consistently been one of the club’s most popular, if not the most popular drawcard.

A great mentor of up-and-coming musicians Mike has put together a dynamic new combination, especially for Foundry. Joining him will be leading established musicians, Karl Laskowski and bassist Brett Hirst, combining with young firebrands alto saxophonist Ben Lerner and drummer George Greenhill. 

The group will play Mike’s celebrated compositions plus a selection of standards. Mike’s shows at Foundry are always a highlight of the local jazz scene and you can again expect a night of exceptional and exciting music!
