Every day, 6pm to 11pm Thursday 19 June to Sunday 29 June
Get out your winter woollens and gather your crew – Darlo Village is turning up the heat this June with Darlo After Dark, a ten-day festival of food and drink, late-night culture, and solstice-inspired surprises.
As the Winter Solstice approaches, Darlinghurst will come alive “after dark”. Curated by the team at Arts-Matter, Darlo After Dark will transform the neighbourhood into a radiant hub of creativity, connection and community spirit from 19–29 June.
Despite the winter chill, locals and visitors alike are invited to gather and celebrate the longest nights of the year with a rich program of art, music, performance, and culinary delights. From opera singers to street dancers, from tarot readers to cult movie screenings, Darlo After Dark celebrates the creative soul of this iconic Sydney precinct.
Highlights of the program include:
Mulled wine and Malaika Mflame in a sultry solstice performance at The Darbury
Live opera with dinner at Gino’s Trattoria
Saxophonist James Domeyko at Ouzo, paired with Greek small plates
Solstice Ice Cream creation from Messina
Lantern making workshop at Rainbow Studios
Make-your-own flower crown stall at the twilight markets
Sake tastings at Nomidokoro Indigo
Tarot card readings at Dust Antiques
Special screening of cult classic The Witches of Eastwick at Govindas Cinema
Whether you're wandering through candlelit laneways, sipping something warm by a firepit, or dancing to the beat of a late-night jazz set, Darlo After Dark invites you to experience the village like never before.
