Saturday 4 March 2023 from 10am to 12pm
Do you want Better Streets for walking, scooting, cycling and relaxing in your community? We think a lot of people in NSW do!
Join us at Circular Quay on March 4th at 10am and show your support for better walking and cycling infrastructure in NSW. Together we will ride, walk and roll our way to Prince Alfred Park in Redfern (departing Circular Quay around 10:30am).
This is a family friendly event, everyone is welcome.
Riding will be entirely on separated cycleway, except for a short section near Hyde Park. The distance is approximately 4km and will take 30-40 mins by riding and 40-60 mins by walking. After reaching Prince Alfred Park, we encourage people to relax and enjoy lunch in the park.
If you don't have a bike but want to ride, our bike-share partners Lime, Beam, Neuron and Hello Bike have got you covered by offering 50% off all their bikes as a special promotion for the Better Streets Weekend on March 4th and 5th.
The Better Streets Weekend is a call to action, where all across NSW, community members will come together in a show of support for Better Streets in their local area. We want all NSW election candidates to prioritise Better Streets for all.
As a community, we have the power to make a difference in creating safer, healthier and more accessible spaces for walking and cycling. Let's work together to advocate for the infrastructure and policies that promote active transportation. Whether you walk, cycle, or simply believe in making our streets better for everyone, we need your voice.
Turn up from 10am. We will be departing Circular Quay at 10:30am after a group photo.
Be a part of the solution for a brighter, healthier and more active future!
