Be connected: Computer class at Reg Murphy

When

Thursdays, 2pm to 3:30pm Thursday 26 May to Thursday 30 June

You are invited to learn new digital skills and thrive in the online world.

Following its in-branch success, City of Sydney Library is taking Be Connected on the road, visiting Reginald Murphy and Redfern Community Centres to offer free digital training.

Topics:

  • Week 1: Internet searching + Library access (catalogue+)

  • Week 2: Online security

  • Week 3: LinkedIn Learning + Be Connected

  • Week 4: Service NSW + how to register for a positive RAT

  • Week 5: Borrow box and Indy reads (Access and download ebooks)

  • Week 6: My favourite apps (Apps outside of library apps)

This is a great time for participants to share their favourite apps with the group as well.

Bring your questions: there will be time at the end to answer all your issues.

Bring your own device – like a laptop, iPad or smart phone – there will be some iPads to borrow if you don't own a device.

Bookings are essential and you can book into any of the individual topics. To book, contact Bishop Laryea on email blaryea@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au or call 02 8374 6310.

The Reginald Murphy Community Centre is open 5 days a week from 9.30am until 3.30pm. There is a table tennis table, computers, WIFI, a piano, books to borrow and sewing machines. A community lunch is held every Wednesday and Thursday at 12 noon for $9. Everyone is welcome.
