Friday 28 June from 4:30pm to 7:30pm
Shebacks.Me presents the Australian Premiere of the award-winning documentary 'Show Her the Money’ (trailer), a powerful and uplifting film that follows four visionary entrepreneurs who have defied societal norms, shattered glass ceilings, and overcome obstacles to build their businesses.
Despite their dedication and passion constantly being challenged, these women, with the financial support and mentorship of their female angel investors, become even more determined, resourceful, and resilient, and the growth of their businesses is mind-blowing.
With less than 5% of all venture capital raised in Australia going to female-led startups in 2023, this documentary is a call to action, to acknowledge and invest in more women-led enterprises. Doing so could add $71–$135 billion to Australia’s economy, and up to $7 trillion globally (Source: ASBFEO).
This feature-length documentary aims to demystify the world of venture capital, and help you understand your role in funding women entrepreneurs.
Follow the inspiring stories of four visionary entrepreneurs:
Vicky Pasche of Dapper Boi, a gender-neutral, body-inclusive apparel line.
Jasmine Jones of Myya, making empowering and sexy mastectomy bras for breast cancer survivors.
Diipa Khosla of indē wild, beauty products influenced by Ayurveda to empower South Asian women.
Marian Leitner-Waldman of Archer Roose Wines, reinventing the wine industry with luxury wines in cans.
