Spiral is an exhibition by ceramicists Shannon Lewis and Kim Vredeveld.

Shannon Lewis draws on time spent exploring the wildness of the New South Wales coastline to create semi-functional and sculptural pieces. Focussing on the meeting of sea and land, sculptures reference the forms and curves found in broken shells and weathered rocks, while semi-functional pieces take on the textures of sand and rock. The work utilises stoneware clays, oxides and stoneware glazes.

Kim Vredeveld works intuitively, embracing the essence of her coastal bushland environment. An abstraction of rocky sea cliffs, dense bush & the changing light observed along the shoreline of Patonga, NSW. Kim has been experimenting with ochre collected on her walks.

Covid-19 safe procedures operate at the gallery. We record names for contact tracing, supply hand sanitiser, disinfect our surfaces and have only 12 people in the gallery at a time, applying social distancing.
