Sydney NSW 2000
When

Friday 20 January 2023 from 5:30pm to 7pm Saturday 21 January 2023 from 2:30pm to 4pm

Come join us to learn how to make your own sool.

The one-and-only Australian Korean alcohol expert, Julia Mellor will guide you into the world of Korean traditional alcohol along with a variety of sools to taste.

Workshop includes:

  • introduction to a variety of Korean sool

  • hands-on experience and demonstration of traditional alcohol brewing

  • tasting various types of sool served with tteok.

Julia Mellor is the very first non-Korean specialist in the Korean booze. Julia has spent last 10 years studying and researching Korean alcohol; from fermentation principles to the ins-and-outs of owning a brewery in Korea. She is happiest in the corners of traditional breweries with local artisans, discussing the finer points of rice and yeast over a cold bowl of makgeolli.
