Thursday 23 January from 9:30am to 12:30pm
In this hands-on art class, young artists will use clay to create their favourite farm animals, from cows and pigs to chickens and sheep! Students will learn how to roll, mould, and shape clay to bring their farmyard creatures to life. They'll explore adding details like ears, tails, and textures to make each animal unique.
This class encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving as kids sculpt their own little farmyard friends. At the end of the class, each child will have a collection of their very own clay farm animals to take home and display! Perfect for young artists who love animals and want to explore the world of 3D art.
Please note that this is not a wheel throwing class.
Process for your clay pieces after the class:
1. Let your artwork dry at home in a well ventilated area for 2 weeks.
2. Bring your artwork (1 piece per class) back to WWAS for bisque firing, inside a clearly labeled box (TAKE A PHOTO OF YOUR WORKS FOR YOUR RECORDS). Please have your contact details and description of artworks clearly labeled on the box (Name and phone number).
3. You will be contacted once your artworks have been bisque fired.
4. Please collect your works within 4 weeks of us contacting you.
5. After the bisque firing: You can book into an existing kids term class through contacting the office, which will give you access to our glazes. You can WATERPROOF your work, plus add colour and designs to your piece.
All pottery must be collected within 4 weeks after completion. Any items not collected within this time frame will have to be disposed of to make room for new work and maintain a safe and organised environment in the school. WWAS takes no responsibility for loss or breakage.
