Life Drawing with Kassandra Bossell

When

Sundays, 2pm to 5pm Sunday 9 March to Sunday 6 April

What's better than spending your Sunday afternoon life drawing? Join us for a 5 week life drawing course!

One of the greatest challenges in life drawing is learning how to combine your own expression with an appreciation of the model. A life model will be the basis of an investigation of form through a variety of media and techniques. All levels are welcome to work at their own pace.

Each class will work from short poses for gesture and contour drawings into longer poses where we explore shading, tone and texture. Students will employ simple techniques for developing proportion, angles and weight to achieve a chosen composition within the format. We will be using different charcoals and pencils to develop textures and quality of line. Participants can also experiment with ink and pastels to explore more expressive drawing, chiaroscuro and colour.

Beginners can receive close tuition while more experienced artists can derive general feedback and discussion. A calm creative atmosphere in this well appointed drawing studio promises good focus for creative results.

Kassandra is a professional artist and tutor working in Sculpture and Drawing for the last 30 years and has always enjoyed teaching alongside her practice.
