Every day, 11am to 1pm Wednesday 8 April to Wednesday 15 April
Be inspired by our Model Makers exhibition and design your own model house using recycled materials.
Working with city model maker Richard Braddish, kids will explore how buildings work by designing, building and testing their ideas. Learn about scale, structure and problem-solving while turning everyday materials into clever creations.
Think about how you would describe your street – is it filled with tall buildings or open spaces? Who and what do you see as you walk around your neighbourhood? What sounds and details stand out?
Who will live in your house and where is it located - is it in the city or countryside? Think about spaces for work, play and everyday life.
Using a variety of recycled materials, participants will explore cutting and folding, slotting, tapping and decorating techniques to bring their miniature homes to life. This workshop encourages creativity and storytelling through art.
Suitable for 7-12 year olds
