When

Sunday 10 September 2023 from 1pm to 3pm

Join Read To Me for our final Sunday afternoon of big pictures and intimate stories.

This time we’ll gaze at Sydney from afar, trying to shed some light on the wonderful, complicated shape of this city and the people in it.

Hear and see stories by local graphic storytellers that reveal the resilience of individuals arriving in this city as refugees, show the shock of moving from Malaysia to Sydney as a teenager and the difficulties of finding your birth parents in a city that is not your own.

Featuring Meg O'Shea, Jin Lau, Can Yalcinkiya, Refugee Art Project with Zeinab Mir and Safdar Ahmed, Courtney Collins with Lizzie Nagy, Kate "Late" Harris, Scott Wrigg and more.

Just as a trip away can help you appreciate home, coming back can help you see it in a whole new way.

This event has adult themes and mature audiences are recommended.
