Unfortunately, numerous students fear instances where they may have to communicate, due to social anxiety or simply the fear of making a mistake. Often students will refrain from putting up their hand in class or introducing themselves at a gathering or striking up a conversation with an adult. While it is very common to have these fears about communication, with practice comes the confidence to overcome these challenges and become an effective and successful communicator.
The benefits of good communication skills are well evidenced and include higher self-confidence, the ability to overcome social anxiety, the capacity to facilitate new friendships, better self-awareness, effective critical thinking, better leadership skills, higher productivity, and positive mental health.
Talent Club Australia’s School Holiday Workshops enable students to gain real-world life skills in a fun, interactive environment. The week-long program costs $100 per child (1.5 hours online per day for 5 days).
