Our Bike Buddies program is designed to give you a bike riding confidence boost. This 1-on-1 service pairs you with a qualified instructor from Bike-Wise for a free guided ride or cycling skills session.

These services are available to people who live or work in the City of Sydney local government area.

Guided ride:

  • 2 hours approximately

  • Ideal for competent riders who want to make more trips by bike but are unsure of the best route

Your instructor will show you the best and safest routes to access the places you want to go by bike, whether it be your workplace, the shops or the local park.

Cycling skills:

  • 2 hours approximately

  • Ideal for riders who want to haven't ridden in a while, or who want to learn more skills to increase their riding confidence

Your instructor will teach you basic skills to help you ride smoothly and safely, or can focus on a specific skills area if you want.

Our instructor will meet you at a location that's convenient to you (NB. must be within the City of Sydney local government area - please see the list of eligible suburbs here), and safety check your bike.

Note. These services are designed for adults, but we can accommodate children aged 12 and up, with the supervision of a guardian, or 16 and up with written guardian approval. Participants must supply their own bike and helmet.
