In conjunction with the official opening of artist Barbara Licha’s solo exhibition opening, the Polish Club Ashfield along with Sto Lat Restaurant will present a Meet The Artist Dinner in the Amber Private Dining Room, Friday 7 February 2024, 7:00pm.

The evening will celebrate Barbara Licha’s solo exhibition opening at the Polish Club with a three course alternate drop exclusive menu, a Q&A with the artist and curator, and an exclusive talk with the artist.

Tickets are only $80 per person for this exclusive event.

SET MENU

AMUSE BOUCHE

  • Watermelon steak katsu sando, bread, basil, goat cheese

ENTREE (alternate drop)

  • Beetroot cured salmon, pearl cous cous, pickled fennel, turmeric aioli, herbs

  • Modern caprese salad, tomato jelly, mozzarella mouse, balsamic reduction, basil oil

 MAIN (alternate drop)

  • Slow cook beef cheeks, sweet potato puree, cherry tomato, asparagus, sticky jus

  • Mushroom ravioli, truffle oil, truffle cream sauce, micro herbs

DESSERT (alternate drop)

  • Sticky date fried ice cream, vanilla mascarpone, toffee sauce, roasted almond

  • Poached pears, red wine, vanilla ice cream, walnut crumbs, lemon balm

ABOUT BARBARA LICHA | Born in Poland in 1957, Barbara Licha came to Australia in 1982. She studied painting, graphics and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland. After a period of study and work in Italy, she finished her art degree at the City Art Institute in Sydney.

Barbara Licha’s artworks have been exhibited Nationally and Internationally including Sculpture By The Sea Sydney, Chianciano Biennale Italy, PolArt Sydney 2022, and International Ceramics and Sculpture Symposium Boleslawiec Poland. Her works are found in numerous collections Nationally and Internationally, and she has been the recipient of multiple awards and prizes, most recently receiving a prize in Doha Qatar.

GETTING THERE | The Polish Club Ashfield is located 182 Liverpool Road, Ashfield. Pedestrian access is only available from Liverpool Road.  

TRAIN | We are conveniently only a 5 minute walk from Ashfield Train Station. Take the Brown Street Exit from the train station, and continue up Browns Street until you reach Liverpool Road. Cross the road and continue left. The destination will be on your right. 

PARKING | We are delighted to welcome our guests to park their vehicles in our underground carpark. The entrance is located via 73 Norton Street. You can easily enter the club from the carpark using the lift. Alternatively, there is always plenty of street parking in the surrounding area with access to the club via the front entrance on 182 Liverpool Road.

CHECK-IN | Ensure to arrive 15 minutes prior to the event to be able to check-in at reception. Members can easily scan their members card, and guests can either scan their drivers license or become an associate member for $2. Allow 5 minutes to become a member. Member’s receive 10% discount on selected items.
