Making with paper workshop

When

Wednesday 20 January 2021 from 1pm to 4pm

Cost

Adult: $60.00

Join paper engineer and Isolate Make artist Benja Harney for a creative paper construction workshop with a focus on techniques you can take home.

Celebrate the unique flora and fauna of the Sydney environment through the medium of paper. With the quirky brushturkey as our hero, we will first create our little bird and then build an accompanying landscape for it to roam around in, including paper rocks, trees and shrubs all inspired by local species. Participants will take home their very own slice of Sydney bushland made of paper.

No prior paper sculpture experience is necessary as we will build our skills through the workshop through a range of techniques.

As a professional creative, artist and educator, over the last 12 years Benja has led his Sydney-based studio, Paperform, to develop a body of work that pushes the possibilities of the paper medium. Pop-up books, paper sculpture, installation, illustration, packaging, fine art, fashion, animation, set design – Benja makes anything and everything possible within this endlessly inventive material.

We are following the NSW Health COVID-19 Safety Industry Guidelines for museums and galleries to keep our guests and staff safe.
