The ebbs and flows of life follow lines that are both straight and curved, combining to create a unique shape that is constantly transforming. In the same way that the lines on our art-makers’ canvases unexpectedly give life to something new, we have watched the shape of our AKAVA (Association of Korean Visual Artists in Australia) evolve for 40 years, observing the movement of its dynamic contours as people come and go. The AKAVA space and the works it embodies remained ever-moving over these decades, slowly but irreversibly shaping the artistic flows that ongoing in our community.
