This is a full-day workshop.

Rediscover analogue practices with this 1 day workshop exploring the fundamentals of large format photography.

In this 1 day workshop you will learn the essentials of large format film photography. Emphasis will be placed on the aspects that differentiate large format from the smaller formats, such as - higher resolution; perspective control; focal length and depth of field effects; as well as the slower, more contemplative approach required.

The fundamental concept will be the use of 4x5 and 8x10 field cameras for fine art applications in portraiture, landscape and still life.

The course will concentrate on traditional techniques using paper negs and film. Please note costs of materials may apply.

This course requires no previous experience.

Please note you don't need to own a large format camera to partake in this class

Please bring a note book and pen.
