Head to the MCA during NAIDOC Week to celebrate one of Aboriginal Australia's most important cultural identities of the late 20th century; Wiradjuri artist, poet and political activist, Kevin Gilbert.

Experience his work through poetry and spoken word inside the current Kevin Gilbert Artist Room of the MCA Collection: Artists in Focus exhibition, shared by his children, grandchildren and loved ones. Reflecting on the legacy of the artist's practice, spoken word recordings of Kevin Gilbert will be played from a project developed in the early 1990s in collaboration with the Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA).

Capacity is limited. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
